The product is a fully plastic product without any metal accessories.

What is foot valve used for?

A foot valve is a device used to control the direction of flow of a liquid or gas, usually installed at the bottom of a pipe or vessel. It can prevent the medium from flowing backward and keep the stability of the tight system. In the field of construction engineering, bottom valve is commonly used in water treatment, sewage treatment, water supply system, etc.

What are the component of foot valve?

consists of valve body, bonnet, spring, piston and sealing ring. Its structure is compact and sturdy, and can withstand large pressure and flow rate. At the same time, the bottom valve also has the characteristics of corrosion and abrasion resistance, suitable for a variety of harsh environments.

How does a foot valve work?

When the medium from the pipeline or container inflow, the bottom valve open, allowing the medium to pass freely. And when the medium flows backwards, the bottom valve closes, preventing the medium from flowing backwards. This is realized through the bottom valve internal spring and piston. When the medium flow direction is opposite to the direction set by the bottom valve, the spring will push the piston to close the bottom valve mouth, thus preventing backflow.

What different between foot valve and check valve?

1)Bottom valves and check valves differ in function.
Bottom valves are mainly used to control the flow of liquid in and out of the pipeline and prevent the liquid in the pipeline from flowing back; while check valves are mainly used to prevent the liquid from flowing backward and protect the pipeline and equipment.
Bottom valves and check valves have different structural designs. The main function of the bottom valve is to prevent the liquid in the pipeline from flowing back into the water source or well, which is used to ensure the continuous supply of water and protect the pump equipment.
The main role of the check valve is to prevent backflow or reverse flow of fluids in the pipeline, to ensure one-way flow of the pipeline, but also can be used to mitigate the impact of water hammer.
2)Bottom valves and check valves work on different.
Bottom valve is a kind of gravity valve, its opening and closing is affected by the pressure and gravity of the fluid in the pipeline, when there is liquid entering from the pipeline, the valve diaphragm will be pushed open by the liquid, so as to realize the smooth flow of water. When the liquid stops flowing or enters the pipeline from the bottom, the valve diaphragm will close automatically to prevent the liquid from flowing backward.
Check valves, on the other hand, are mechanical valves that open and close under the influence of fluid pressure in the pipeline and spring elasticity to ensure unidirectional fluid flow. When the liquid in the pipeline flows in a predetermined direction, the valve flap will be pushed open, and the check valve is in the open state; when the liquid flows in the opposite direction, the valve flap will be closed, and the check valve is in the closed state.
