In the industrial PVC piping system, the handle type butterfly valve is a common type. Because of the structure of  this butterfly valve is relatively small. When you put the butterfly valve into the middle of the flange at both ends of the pipeline, with a double-head bolt through the pipeline flange to lock the butterfly valve, that can control the pipeline fluid medium.

Because butterfly valves are suitable for places with narrow space or short distance between pipelines, when the butterfly valve is in the open state, the valve flap is the only resistance to the flow of medium through the valve body, so the pressure generated by the valve is relatively small, and there is a better control of the flow of medium. This makes the handle type butterfly valve is very popular in the industrial pipeline market, but there are seven points we have to pay attention to before installing the handle type butterfly valve.

2, Before installing the butterfly valve, the outside of the piping should be sprayed with air and the inside of the piping should be washed with water.

3, We have to check carefully whether the performance of the butterfly valve and the use of the situation are compatible, such as temperature, pressure and so on.

4,We should check the sealing surface of the butterfly valve and the valve channel before installation to see if there is any debris and clean it up in time.

Butterfly valves should be installed out of the box in a timely manner, and any tight fixing screws or nuts on the valve should not be loosened at will.

5, Use special butterfly valve flanges for handle type butterfly valves.

6, Electric butterfly valve because it can be installed in any angle of the pipeline, so in order to maintain the convenience of the later, it is generally not recommended to install the electric butterfly valve upside down.

7, When installing the butterfly valve flange, we have to make sure that the flange surface and sealing rubber are centered, tighten the fixing screws, and the sealing surface should be fit and complete: if there is uneven tightening strength of the screws, it will lead to the rubber bulge jammed butterfly plate or the top of the butterfly plate to cause leakage at the valve stem.
