Can diaphragm valve be installed vertically?
Usually, the installation direction of the diaphragm valve should be positive flow direction, that is, the medium from the valve inlet to outlet. This installation can better ensure the service life of the valve and diaphragm, to prevent the occurrence of valve leakage or medium backflow phenomenon.
How to install the diaphragm valve?
1. The valve should be installed at the highest point of the pipeline as far as possible, which can effectively avoid the accumulation of media inside the valve, reduce the pressure of the diaphragm, and extend the valve life.
2. The installation position of the valve should be easy to operate, easy to check, so that it is easier to maintain and repair the diaphragm valve.
3. The valve should be avoided by the external impact force, so as to avoid damage or failure of the valve.
What different between the diaphragm valve and ball valve?
Diaphragm valves and ball valves are both common industrial piping valves, and they are both used to control the flow of medium. However, they have some differences in structure, working principle, applicable occasions and so on.
A diaphragm valve is a valve with a resilient diaphragm that divides the valve body into two studios. Through compressed air or hydraulic pressure, the diaphragm is moved up and down to control the flow of medium. It can be used in high pressure, high viscosity and corrosive medium.
Diaphragm valves have good sealing because the medium only contacts the diaphragm and not the valve body.
The ball valve has a simple structure, consisting of a ball valve and two seals. By rotating the ball, the medium flow is controlled. The ball valve is flexible in switching, easy to operate and has a long service life. The sealing of the ball valve is very good and can be used in general industrial pipelines.
